Course Description

 

The course is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform basic health services. It prepares the student to function in the role of the nurse assistant under the supervision of Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. This course is designed to meet the curriculum requirements of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (MoDHSS). Essential aspects of the course include: healthcare delivery system, healthcare teamwork; medical observation; documentation and reporting techniques; and patient assessment. A 2 step TB test has to be done before clinicals. With this course, and the skills training provided you'll be one step closer to a career in Health Services.
